Yesterday afternoon, our MSc Marketing Management and MSc Tourism & Hospitality Management programs students gathered together to present their Team Business Challenge, which has been based on the development of strategies for the Cleanwave Foundation with the purpose of promoting the so-called Cleanwave Movement, which aims to raise awareness about plastic pollution and offers several alternatives to single-use plastics, such as their reusable stainless-steel bottles, which are the best known product of this organization.

This challenge consisted of detailed plans to promote the visibility and presence of Cleanwave at the Balearic island of Mallorca, one of the places in Europe where more plastic bottles are bought due to mass tourism. Moreover, one of the highlights of the event was the attendance of Line Hadsbjerg, co-founder and president of the Cleanwave Foundation, who will be in charge of deciding which project suits better in terms of the future strategies of the organization, together with other professionals and teachers who attended this session.

In general, the trends of the projects have been directed towards values such as sustainability, economic and realistic profitability on the assignment, as well as the exhaustive definition of marketing strategies, potential consumers, and the analysis of the competitors.

However, it is important to mention that one of the biggest incentives of this activity is a trip to Mallorca, which will be rewarded to the best team. The winner will be announced early next week.
