TBS in Barcelona’s Virtual Fly-In 360º Experience project won the ‘Coup de coeur du public’ (public favorite) award at the TBS Innovation Awards yesterday. The initiative competed against 14 other innovative projects of the school in the framework of the TBS Innovation Day.
The projects were judged through a pitch competition. The nominated teams had to present their proposals in just 180 seconds, which turned the contest into an innovation challenge as well. The contestants competed in four categories: Best Digital Shift, Best upgrade, Best fresh design, and Coup de Coeur.
The presentation that the audience liked the most was Virtual Fly-In 360º Experience. Margarita Servera, head of Marketing and Development, Sofia Nieto, Project Manager, and Beatriz Marco, Communications Coordinator, were in charge of presenting the project in 180 seconds.
The project consists of an application that allows students to discover TBS Education campuses remotely, explore the cities where they are located, and interact with students and staff. In addition, a special kit was sent to different counselors with virtual reality glasses to enjoy the experience and an interactive session was organized with TBS professor Yancy Vaillant on entrepreneurship and higher education.
Virtual Fly-In 360º Experience was not the only proposal from TBS in Barcelona nominated in the Innovation Awards, also participating in the competition was the BCNit project, nightlife in Barcelona post-COVID-19, presented by Fabien Pecot in the Best Fresh Design category.
BCNit is a report prepared by a group of Bachelor and Master students from TBS in Barcelona under the coordination of Pecot. The report proposes solutions to renew nightlife in the city of Barcelona and reactivate it after the pandemic.
TBS Innovation Day is the day of innovation at school. For a whole day, conferences and activities are organized with the aim of promoting the creativity of the entire TBS Education Community.
This edition could be followed 100% online due to health restrictions, which also allowed for more interaction between the Toulouse, Barcelona, Paris, and Casablanca campuses. For example, a conference was organized for each TBS Campus. The Barcelona talk was given by Adriaan Landman, co-founder of the startup “Allread MLT”, who spoke about innovation and start-ups.
