On the occasion of the welcome session for third-year Bachelor in Management students, we received an exceptional visitor on campus. It was Paul Efmorfidis, founder and CEO of Coco-mat, a Greek bedding and hospitality company committed to sustainability.
A Special Guest for the Bachelor in Management Students
Paul Efmorfidis, the pioneering founder and CEO of Coco-mat, engaged with the students in a way that went beyond a typical guest speaker appearance.
Coco-mat is one of the most emblematic Greek companies operating in Europe, the USA, and China.
Beyond being a simple guest speaker of the welcome session, Efmorfidis had a very interesting interaction with the students who are now starting their last year of Bachelor in Management at TBS Education – Barcelona.
Coco-mat’s Sustainable Vision Takes Center Stage
In addition to a reflection on sustainability, the founder and CEO of Coco-Mat delved into the commitment to make greater use of bicycles. He detailed his beginnings and his supply chain management. On this last point, he stopped to relate his experience with factories with entrepreneurial returnees.
With a significant footprint in Europe, the USA, and China, its commitment to eco-friendly practices has set it apart.
Beyond the Campus: An Invitation and Continued Interaction
Efmorfidis rounded off his visit with a firm invitation to visit his eco-hotel in Santorini. But the event didn’t end there. After the session, some students enjoyed lunch with Paul Efmorfidis and Gabriel Zúñiga, director of studies.
