On January 9th, after Christmas break, several activities took place at the campus of TBS Education-Barcelona. Students, professors and staff were welcoming this new semester with new courses, activities and welcome sessions.
First-year Master in Management students have started the second semester, as well as Bachelor in Management students on their second and third year. However, the latter were joined by exchange students -previously based in other TBS Education campuses, mostly from Casablanca and Toulouse- who attended these welcome sessions, in which they were explained detailed information about the academic procedures, and different features of Barcelona for students to start being familiar with their new home.
On the same morning, some of our Master students developed an activity related to different climatic issues, with the aim of relating concepts and understanding the complexity of the climate change and current environmental matters.
A dynamic way of building a good debate around this topic was by dividing students in two groups, whose mission was to puzzle up different concepts (materialized in cards) in a logical order. For instance, some of them were CO2 emissions, carbon sinks or acidification of the oceans. The purpose of this activity was to link these subjects by discussing and defining them, and, consequently, set cause-effect relations and conclusions in the shape of a complex collage.
