On June 1 took place the presentation of the Honorary Distinctions of Cáritas Diocesana de Barcelona to the TFG and TFM (Bachelor’s and Master’s degree final projects) with greater social content of the 2020-2021 academic year. The award ceremony was held virtually, due to health restrictions.

The distinctions were awarded by a jury from Cáritas Diocesana, which evaluated the projects presented by students in the third track of the Bachelor program in Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation of the Master in Management program, both coordinated by TBS professor Yancy Vaillant. Professor Ruben Canovas, from Everis, also collaborated in the Digital Transformation project.

During the event, Olivier Benielli, director of the TBS campus in Barcelona, spoke and emphasized the values of TBS and its social commitment. Itziar Bravo from Cáritas Diocesana also intervened as the person in charge of the awareness campaigns and Fernando Porta as a volunteer of Universitats amb Cor and member of the jury.

The distinguished projects

The prize was given to the project “The key to personalized teaching-MAIT” for the TFM with the most social content. The winning students were: Yacine Hamdani, Fabienne Harder, Max Lacassie, Victoria Lau, Louis Masseret, Lloyd Moua, Alissia Pellegatta, Arthur Perrot.

As for the TFG, the winning project was “Arily – Association Française pour les Artisans”, carried out by the students Nathan Clos, Jorge Peña, Paul Barbera, Charles Escat, Clara Valess, Ambre Prignitz, Guillaume Valparaiso and M. Amine Doukkali. After receiving the award, the students of the winning projects made a two-minute pitch explaining their proposals.

The jury

The jury of Cáritas Diocesana was formed by three volunteers of Universitats amb Cor de Càritas, Ramon Bretcha, Fernando Porta, and Fèlix Riera. Itziar Bravo, head of awareness campaigns and coordinator of Entitats amb Cor, acted as president of the jury, and Marta Plujà, campaigns and awareness technician and referent of Entitats amb Cor de Càritas, acted as secretary.
