The tenth edition of the International Conference on Business Servitization will take place on November 9th and 10th at the TBS Education – Barcelona campus. If you are interested in servitization and related topics like digitalization, platforms, and artificial intelligence, this is an event you cannot miss.
Organized by Ferran Vendrell-Herrero, Associate Professor in International Business at the University of Edinburgh, and Yancy Vaillant, Full Professor of Strategy, Entrepreneurship, & Innovation at TBS Education, the event aims at debating and shaping such critical questions for the future development of the field. Accordingly, the focus of this year is set at the intersection of three increasingly essential topics for servitization that have not yet been sufficiently linked in academia:
The conference will gather 34 papers and 63 delegates and will have Professor Samuel Fosso Wamba (TBS Education) as the Opening Keynote Speaker and Professor Emanuel Gomes (Nova School of Business and Economics) as the Closing Keynote address.
It is important to highlight that there are two special issues related to the 10th edition of the International Conference on Business Servitization in highly regarded journals:
The state-of-the-art campus of TBS Education-Barcelona will be the chosen location for this conference, a place perfectly designed for academic sessions and vibrant networking. The conference will engage current research on the emerging field of servitization, which focuses on theoretical developments and practical applications of the methods and techniques. The conference aims to provide a platform for researchers and practitioners from both academia and industry to meet & share cutting-edge developments in the field of servitization.
Yancy Vaillant coordinates the Digital and Social Entrepreneurship track, which is part of the third-year curriculum for the Bachelor in Management program in Barcelona. This specialization, available for selection in the final year, provides a well-rounded, interdisciplinary perspective on entrepreneurship, encompassing areas such as Finance, Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, and more.
