Peighton was born in Canada and she is studying a Bachelor of Business Administration, Human Resources at Brock University (Niagara, Ontario).
Why did you choose the TBS Summer School?
I chose Barcelona Summer School because I’ve always wanted to live in a different country and I’m a very curious person with a neutral inclination to learn, for me, summer in Barcelona was a no-brainer! Additionally, the courses I have enrolled in have allowed will allow me to further my business knowledge on an international scale with an international perspective, which I believe is very important and advantageous to have as our society is becoming more globalized and connected.
What motivated you the most to come to Barcelona?
I’ve heard amazing things about Barcelona and wanted to see it for myself! I wanted to immerse myself in the Spanish culture and language while exploring and meeting new people.
What activity did you like the most?
I liked the opening ceremony activities because I got to meet the students I’d be spending the next three weeks with. During the team-building activities of the day, I shared lots of laughs and memories.
Another activity I enjoyed was the day trip to Sitges! The town was beautiful, and the beaches were so clean!
What module have you studied during the program?
This term, I am in the Fashion & Luxury Management and Social Media Marketing modules.
What did you like the most about the Summer School classes?
I liked the collaborative activities held throughout my Summer School classes. It helped me meet new people and make new friends, as well as develop a deeper understanding of course topics by hearing my peers’ opinions based on what they have learned from their home institution.
Why would you recommend other students to come to TBS Summer School?
I would recommend students to come to TBS Summer School because you grow so much as a person. Taking courses in a different country, allows you to travel, make new friends, learn a new language, and immerse yourself in a new culture while having help and guidance!
