In exceptional times, exceptional ideas often appear that surprise us and reveal the most caring side of people. This is the case of David Molina, programmer at TBS Education in Barcelona, who since the beginning of the COVID-19 quarantine has been dedicating part of his free time to helping, as far as possible, with the manufacture of plastic masks reusable and face protection visors.
With an Anycubic Kossel Linear plus delta printer, David has joined a large community throughout Spain that, in collaboration with the Corona Virus Makers entity, are contributing their little grain of sand to the situation. The involvement of this member of the TBS family reaches such a point that David is working on the manufacture of his own RepRap printer to continue this work. At the moment, the printer that has David operating has a print volume of 230 mm diameter x 300 mm high. With it, you get a visor in three and a half hours and a full mask in 3.
A little over a month ago, David Molina started manufacturing visors for the Corona Virus Makers initiative, but it was not until last week that, seeing the need for PPE among the members of his family, when he did start with the impression of masks and visors also for them.
It is important to highlight that from the same entity they are in charge of collecting the printed material at home with members of the police force and volunteer taxi drivers, finalizing the composition of the pieces (in the nodes of volunteers) so as to distribute them to the health, bodies and police forces. security, merchants and sellers.
