Building upon their previous presentations and feedback from classmates, tutors, and collaborating companies, our students resumed presenting their projects, in the final stage of the SESAME Days. Each team, with different approaches, presented with much more confidence the opportunities that they found in the market compared to the previous time. The groups that continued analyzing the cases of Amaris and Neo Builders undoubtedly became experts on the companies they worked with, adding a more personal and unique touch to their presentations. This is the case for the teams that worked with Neo Builders, who were delighted.
A clear example of how this project provides great opportunities for students is the experience of the teams assigned to work on the Neo Builders case. The students became more familiar with the company than its members as we already saw it before.
The teams found opportunities, once again, in various areas, each with well-founded reasons and the corresponding contacts already established. This project became a practical experience, surpassing mere simulation or market analysis; it was about treating the project as something real.
But they didn’t just gain experience working as professionals: the CEO of Neo Builders, Paul Evmorfidis, was very pleased with all the students he collaborated with and regretted that he could not offer each of them a job position. However, he extended an invitation to the teams and project tutors to visit his store and facilities.
This invitation not only aims to allow the students to get firsthand experience with the material they have been working with over the past few weeks but also to discuss the possibility of hiring one of them to join their Marketing team. Additionally, he extended another invitation: a trip to Belgium and Greece, respectively, with the opportunity to meet the Greek Minister of the Environment.
This company response highlights the great communication and passion everyone has demonstrated and reinforces the importance of projects like this, where results and experiences go beyond the educational realm and approach professional work.
