Every year, TBS Education – Barcelona celebrates excellence to honor individuals who have demonstrated remarkable contributions in the academic field, as well as commitment, support, and responsibility. This year, for the first time, the awards were expanded to include staff members alongside students and professors.

The Ceremony

To strengthen community bonds, everyone at TBS Education – Barcelona was allowed to nominate others or be nominated themselves throughout the month. The ceremony started in the afternoon with a welcoming message from Ryan Donno, International Student Office Coordinator. Following a singing performance act of Carolina Dos Santos Van-Dunem Cordeiro, a third-year Bachelor’s student, cheered the beginning of the event.

Also, during the awards presentation, our Campus Dean, Olivier Benielli, and other students had the opportunity to deliver short and warm speeches acknowledging not only the winners but all attendees, too. Special mention to Ines El Jamali, responsible for the TBS Alumni’s Barcelona Chapter, who delivered an inspiring talk about the true meaning behind this recognition, stating, “It’s not about titles; it’s about impact. Each of you has the potential to create change.”

After the nominations and speeches, Ryan Donno concluded the event with another performance by Carolina. However, the event continued with a networking session between staff and students and a cocktail.
