Starting an enterprise in an international environment is a great challenge for those who have vision, determination, and the ability to learn from any experience. Nowadays, the youth face many barriers and challenges in bringing their projects to life due to the competitive environment in the business sector. Some of these challenges include learning from their mistakes, adapting in a multicultural setting, and taking responsibility from a young age.

For this reason, those who, in their studies, combine academic training with practical job experience have a great benefit when entering the professional market. The founder of Finance Club and former student of TBS Education, Juan Gasca, affirms: “The practical experience allows students to discover their interests and develop essential skills to stand out among other candidates.”

Adapting, innovating, and learning from experience are the most important factors in becoming the best. In this context, the role that business schools plays in preparing students to leave their mark is crucial, particularly in developing skills in leadership and teamwork. Associations like the one Juan Gasca created can be a pillar for motivating students through networking, events, or conferences.

Finance Club: A Leader in Startup Programs in Luxembourg

During his time at TBS Education, Juan Gasca founded Finance Club with the intention of encouraging entrepreneurship among his classmates and making the university more receptive to the club’s initiatives. With a clear vision of how to help other students take their first step into the finance world, Gasca adds: “Teamwork and leadership in students are the key to increasing the number of opportunities and making the club bigger for future generations.”

In just a few years, Gasca has faced the challenges and learned the importance of entrepreneurship, creating an innovative environment, and leadership. This combination has proven to be the key to professional development. Thanks to this background, Juan joined EY Luxembourg, where, in just one year, he reached a coordination level managing a team of 20 people in startup programs. “Being the leader of a team, building confidence, and making strategic decisions are some of the abilities that I consider essential in my current role,” Gasca clarifies, in case there is any doubt about the importance of these actions.
