Our first-year students take social responsibility through fun activities!

As part of our Community Services activities, our first-year Bachelor students participated in a series of various activities and workshops designed to experience and learn about the importance of social responsibility, something we are incredibly proud. The two main activities involved a collaborative project with a company to understand the environmental impact of production processes, and a clean walk through the mountains around Barcelona.
Clean walk
It was two Clean Walks through the mountains surrounding Barcelona, as we already said. Students walked through picking up discarded waste that was left behind by others. This activity provided them with the opportunity to firsthand witness the damage caused by waste and pollution in natural environments. It was a powerful reminder of how our habits can lead to environmental harm. The students also learned the importance of taking action, no matter how small, to help preserve and protect nature. Beyond the ecological commitment, the clean walk was also an opportunity for students to connect with nature, work as a team, and bond with their peers. In an enjoyable and rewarding experience that allowed them to concern about the environment while appreciating the beauty of their surroundings.
Textile fresco
Textile Fresco was the workshop they attended, which focused on understanding the significant environmental impact of the textile industry. During this session, our students explored the issues surrounding the production and consumption of clothing, particularly the environmental consequences. Through engaging discussions and interactive mapping activities, they gained a deeper understanding of how their choices as consumers and future business leaders can impact the planet. This experience has heightened their awareness of the importance of making sustainable and responsible decisions in their daily lives.
For the future, more joyful and productive experiences are being prepared for our students. While we don’t know exactly what they will be, it’s clear that by 2025, we will organize another clean walk.
