Last weekend, from October 17 to 19, Startup Weekend took place in Perpignan. A group of our students from the Barcelona campus successfully represented the school and came in second place in the competition. In addition to their success, the students stood out for their linguistic efforts, camaraderie, and dedication
Startup Weekend Perpignan Méditerranée is a three-day high-intensity entrepreneurship event. For 54 hours, a wide variety of participants create a new startup from scratch. The event’s main objective is to create a space for innovation and collaboration between France and Spain.
The three teams representing our Barcelona campus where made up of Karen Aguilar Lara, Maxence Combot, Tristan Drhouin, Natan Dumortier, Zuzanna Klos, Vicente Laumaille Buen, Oscar Lavail, Lana Leskovar y Mziko Nikolishvili. At TBS Education – Barcelona, we are very proud and excited by their dedication and outstanding results.
Joanna Pousset was the chosen professor to accompany the students during the weekend. She was also selected as an Expert Coach for the event. Moreover, she shared some words of joy and gratification with the students.
Joanna Pousset Honestly, watching the Barcelona team crush it all weekend was the best part – pure creativity, zero sleep, maximum vibes 💡 Soooooo proud of all of the 9 Star Entrepreneurs ✨ They gave up their weekend, worked nonstop, did not sleep, struggled with language barriers, and still came out with amazing projects and great vibes. 🔥 And most importantly, they met engineers, code developers, designers, and built real startups (some very promising, and investable) Not to mention getting on podium with the 2nd prize!!! The rest of you who skipped it… you seriously missed out! Sign up for the next event! #StartupWeekendI’m soooo proud! the organizers said on stage that they admire the Barcelona team for coming from far, making the linguistic effort to work in French, giving their best, and producing amazing results! we got applauded a lot 👏🏼 ¡and the best is that the winning team (2nd place) – they really made friends with the 3 code developers, and they made arrangements to formalize the startup and launch soon, in Barcelona! and the Tristan and Karen team got offered equity in the rental passport startup.
